Therapeutic Groups

Exploring the therapeutic possibilities of singing and creative expression.

Singing, creativity
and therapeutic process.

As both community song leaders and practising psychotherapists, we’re bringing these two strands of our work together through group psychotherapy.

Our therapeutic groups weave together singing, vocal exploration, creative expression and reflection, offering space for personal exploration, connection and discovery.

These offerings are distinct from our regular community song circles, with an intentional focus on therapeutic process. No previous singing or artistic experience is necessary.

Creative Resonance

Singing in the Oral Tradition

Saturday, November 28, 2026

A therapeutic group exploring shared resonance through vocal and creative engagement.

Over a day together we will experience how song and art-making can resource us, reach parts of us that may not be easy to access, and create a shared field of healing.

People who already attend Songbirds are welcome to inquire. Any considerations around existing relationships, therapeutic boundaries or group composition can be discussed privately during intake.

Participants will be asked to respect one another’s privacy, although confidentiality among group members cannot be guaranteed.

Psychotherapy receipts will be provided. Reimbursement may be available through extended health benefits, depending on your plan and the provider designation covered.
